FMEA Tip: Simplify the entry of Malfunctions

A simple Rule:

If one creates a failure function by negation of the target function, one can be certain that no failure causes are anticipated.

The function "ascertain solidity" changes into the failure  "solidity not achieved", or - as in the example - "Attach Hose" becomes "Hose not Attached".

The failure text is almost identical to the original function text, except for words such as "not", "partially", "incomplete", "twisted", etc. so that one wants to reduce data entry time.

Our Tip: For simplified data entry one can open both, the green and the red windows simultaneously, so reducing data entry effort mostly by "cut and paste" and minimal subsequent editing as required.

Try it:

It really saves time!
